About Bhim App

BHIM (Bharat Interface for Money) is a Mobile App developed by National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), based on the Unified Payment Interface (UPI).

It was launched by Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, at a Digi Dhan mela at Talkatora stadium in New Delhi on 30 Dec 2016. it’s been named after Bhim Rao Ambedkar and is meant to facilitate e-payments directly through banks and as a part of the 2016 Indian bank bill demonetization and drive towards cashless transactions.

This UPI app supports all Indian banks which use that platform, which is built over the Immediate Payment Service infrastructure and allows the user to instantly transfer money between the bank accounts of any two parties. It can be used on all mobile devices.Bhim App is developed to overcome the charges taken by other banks via online payment.

Features in Bhim App:

BHIM permit users to send or receive money to different UPI payment addresses or scanning QR code or account number with IFSC code or MMID (Mobile money Identifier) Code to users who don’t have a UPI-based bank account.

BHIM permits users to examine current balance in their bank accounts and to decide on which bank account to use for conducting transactions, though just one is active at any time.Users can create their own QR code for a fixed amount of money, which is useful in businessperson — vender — purchaser’s transactions. they’ll even have more than one payment address.

If the 12-digit Aadhaar is listed as a payment ID on the BHIM app won’t need any biometric authentication or previous registration with the bank or Unified Payment Interface (UPI).

Version 1.3 permits the user to use mobile numbers from their contact book to send money and additionally save payment addresses for future use without having to type the address once more. A user can also check the Previous transaction History by tapping transaction Box. Here only the transaction through BHIM shown.
